A true Scare

Last night I ended up in ER.  I was having contractions at 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant.  I was so scared.  Thats all I could think of was "Am I miscarrying my pride and joy."  I was getting scared by the minute in the emergency room waiting and waiting.  I went in, they took blood, hooked me up to an IV line, had to do a urine sample, then I went for my Ultrasound.  That was when I was relieved.  My little ones heartbeat was 158, and it was a kicking, even though I could not feel it, but my baby is a live wire.  But all is good, and today just a little tender on the left side of pelvic wall, but all is well and my baby is doing great.   The reason for the contractions was because I was dehydrated and my magnesium was low.  I am so grateful it was nothing worse than that.  I am truly blessed :)

Giraffe for baby's room

So I went to a rummage sale this past weekend and found this smashing deal.  My plan is to have the baby's room decorated in the Jungle theme.  I thought what an awesome idea, I found this wonderful creature at a rummage sale for TWO dollars and he looks almost brand new.  What a deal, and he is so cute!! Dale even fell in love with him.  I am having such a blast with all this baby stuff!

Heartbeat

On Friday, I had a doctors appointment. It was great to hear my baby's heartbeat.  It was a nice strong heartbeat, and it didn't take the doctor long to find my baby's heartbeat.  I am so happy to be starting a family.  It is nice to have a husband that goes to every doctors appointment with me, even if some of them are only 10 minutes long.  I am truly blessed to be loved so much, and this baby has overflowing love from its mommy and daddy, I just can't wait for my baby's arrival.  Yes, I am starting on my 17th week and getting more and more excited by the minute.  Can't wait for my little Richter to arrive :)  We are so excited to meet you lil one, love mommy and daddy!

Shopping bargains!

I went shopping today and found some great buys!  I went to a consignment shop here in Stevens Point Wisconsin and found some onesies for 50 cents a piece.  steal right.  All the onsies are yellow, green, white but I am not sure what we are having yet so those colors should be perfect right? 

Then I bought this little play floor mat thingy.  It makes noises and everything.  This baby will love it.  It was 5 dollars so I decided to buy it!

 Then on my shopping trip I went to Kohl's and bought this maternity top, pretty cute for summer, is what I was thinking when I bought it.  

 Then I seen these toning shoes for 40 dollars and I bought them as well, we will see how comfortable they are.  They are reebok tone ups.  I will let you know if they work.  

Sex

Everyone keeps asking me if we are going to find out the sex of the baby.  We want a healthy baby, that is all that matters to me right now.  Does everyone find out the sex of the child?  Does it really matter if we do or not? Dale and I are not worried about what sex our baby is because really you can't changes it, so why worry about it?  But any who, what do you think, should we find out or not?  Did you find out?  Is it really all that worrisome if you are having a BOY or a GIRL?  I guess I am not to consumed with the sex of our baby, I want healthy and that is all that I care about.  But I did have 2 dreams about me having a boy, but that might be my mind just thinking.  Who knows!  My baby will be perfect no matter what sex the baby is.   Dale and I have already picked out names for our child, but we are not sharing them with the public!  We are just overly excited to become parents!
